SUMMER
SCC's Full-Time Recruitment Panel is the perfect opportunity to gain insight into the consulting recruitment process from recent Schulich alumni who have secured roles with a diverse set of consulting firms. This panel answers attendees' questions about recruitment timelines, firm-specific advice, and networking tips and tricks to get a head start on the next consulting recruitment cycle.

SUMMER MIXER

Summer Mixer connects Schulich undergraduate students with industry professionals currently working in various sectors of consulting in an intimate virtual networking setting. Attendees have the opportunity to learn more about what a career in consulting entails and build valuable connections allowing them to gain a competitive edge in recruitment.
The BCG Summer Series is an opportunity for second and third-year Schulich students to gain insights into a consulting career at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) through networking and case workshops. Participants will receive guidance from BCG Consultants, learn about problem-solving methods, gain insight into the firm's culture and upcoming opportunities.

PREMIERE
Target Audience: All York and Schulich undergraduate students
SCC’s 2021-2022 season will kick-off with an introduction to SCC and the upcoming school year’s timeline. Attendees will gain a better understanding of what SCC does, the benefits of joining the club, and have the opportunity to meet the executive team to experience the team dynamic.
This event aims to foster consulting interest by providing an in-depth introduction to the consulting industry. It will educate members on what a career in consulting entails and the benefits of pursuing this route.

CONSULTING 101
Target Audience: All York and Schulich undergraduate students

RECRUITMENT SERIES:
INTRO TO NETWORKING
In preparation for both virtual and in-person networking, this workshop will educate attendees on the unspoken rules of networking, how to make a lasting impression on a representative, and provide advice on how to maintain and strengthen a connection. Hosted by RSM Canada Consulting LP, attendees will gain the networking etiquette needed to make their mark at every stage of networking.

Covering the behavioural, situational, and technical aspects of an interview, this workshop equips attendees with the skills needed to craft their stories and thrive in interview settings. Hosted by Russell Reynolds Associates, a firm that specializes in executive search and leadership advisory, attendees will be sure to leave this workshop ready to ace the interview for their dream job.

COFFEE CHAT CONNECT

By matching ambitious prospective consulting candidates with SCC alumni and corporate partners, students will have the opportunity to network through virtual coffee chats with industry consultants. Coffee Chat Connect matches students with professionals based on similar interests in field specializations to build meaningful and lasting connections.

BOUTIQUE PANEL
The Boutique Panel will provide attendees with insight into various boutique consulting firms. Attendees will have a chance to get their questions answered and learn more about each boutiques’ recruiting timelines for co-op and summer internship opportunities.

This workshop will allow members to learn from industry representatives as they share their experiences and highlight their firms’ diversity and inclusion initiatives. Attendees will gain valuable insights, make connections with real consultants, and learn about the steps firms are taking to be more inclusive.

Highlighting various consulting functions and industry pathways, members will be able to explore the breadth of opportunities available. With consultants working in areas from Customer & Marketing and Human Capital, to Strategy and Technology, members will have the chance to connect with and learn from a diverse group of industry representatives.

CAREERS IN CONSULTING
Target Audience: All York and Schulich undergraduate students
This panel features students who have successfully broken into the consulting industry by securing internships from McKinsey & Company, Konrad Group, PwC, and Accenture. Members will gain a deeper understanding of the consulting recruitment cycle through the panelists’ firm-specific advice, recruitment timelines, and tips regarding the behavioural and case portion of the interview.
